Ingredients
For the Cookie Dough
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1½ cups all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
For the Chocolate Topping
1½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup heavy cream
Extra chocolate chips for garnish
Directions
Prepare the Cookie Dough
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the milk and vanilla extract and mix until fully combined. Gradually add the heat-treated flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
Chill the Base
Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Press the cookie dough mixture evenly into the pan and smooth the top. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Make the Chocolate Topping
Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until warm but not boiling. Remove from heat and pour over the chocolate chips. Let sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth and glossy.
Assemble
Pour the chocolate ganache over the chilled cookie dough and spread evenly. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
Set and Slice
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm. Lift from the pan, slice into bars, and serve.
