Creamy Butter Salmon Pasta Recipe

This Creamy Butter Salmon Pasta is rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. Tender salmon chunks, silky cream sauce, garlic, butter, and Parmesan come together for a restaurant-style pasta you can make at home in under 30 minutes. Perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

2 salmon fillets, cut into bite-size chunks
1 cup heavy cream
8 oz fettuccine pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt, black pepper, and herbs to taste
Optional: crushed red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a little pasta water if needed.

Season the salmon chunks with salt and black pepper. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the salmon and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and just cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add the olive oil and remaining butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Pour in the heavy cream and stir gently. Let it simmer on low heat for 2–3 minutes, then add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.

Season the sauce with salt, black pepper, herbs, and crushed red pepper if using. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until fully coated. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water.

Gently fold the cooked salmon into the pasta, making sure not to break it apart too much.

Serve immediately, plated beautifully as shown, and garnish with extra Parmesan or fresh herbs if desired.
