A light, flavorful, and high-protein dish featuring tender white fish pan-seared to perfection and finished with a rich, zesty lemon butter sauce. Quick, fresh, and perfect for a healthy dinner.

📝 Ingredients

For the Fish

4 fillets of white fish (cod, tilapia, or haddock)
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Lemon Butter Sauce

4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
Juice and zest of 2 lemons
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and black pepper, to taste

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Fish

Pat the fish fillets dry using paper towels to help them sear properly.

Brush both sides lightly with olive oil, then season evenly with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

2️⃣ Cook the Fish

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Place the fillets in the hot pan and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the fish is golden on the outside and flakes easily with a fork.

Remove the fish from the skillet and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the Lemon Butter Sauce

Reduce the heat to medium. In the same skillet, melt the butter with olive oil.

Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (do not let it brown).

Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and chopped parsley. Mix well and let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

4️⃣ Assemble and Serve

Place the cooked fish fillets on a serving plate.

Spoon the warm lemon butter sauce generously over each fillet.

Garnish with extra parsley and lemon slices for a fresh and vibrant finish.
